using dbexpress2 with delphi 2007/2008

is it (will it be) possible to use dbexpress2 (units+drivers) with delphi
2007/2008?
what are the disadvantages (we won't miss the unicode features ...) of using
dbx2?

No, only dbExpress 3 drivers are (using the DBX3-4 adapter driver) still
supported - next to DBX4 drivers, of course. But no dbExpress 2.x drivers...

Apart from the fact that these drivers won't work in Delphi 2007 and
higher? ;-)

I hope this will not change in Delphi 2008 ....
does anyone know Borlands strategy according to dbx3 supoort in delphi 2008?
