Hey, this is my last try,
have been searching for two days now for a working example of dbExpress
components and mySQL, though I have a "dbfrontend" based on mysql.pas, I
would like to use the "easy way" (pure irony):
Tried to make a testing framework of the following components:
SQLConnection, Dataset and Query and a DBGrid and Navigator.
by the way: may it be that dbExpress components work only correctly in a
.Net Project?
I think that was the last failure I found out yesterday, fixed the problem
of not loading any dll (libmysql.dll, libexpmysql.dll, or an access
violation on one of those)
Well, however, I didn't make it!
I found a lot of tutorials dealing with Table and Query (not SQLQuery),
StringGrids, completely other db connectors/ packages, etc.
So damn it, has anyone ever done a dbfrontend with mainly dbExpress
components and a DBGrid?
As someone said in his postings: "it would be a shame if this component gets
lost in the drawer"
